Natural crystal opal – vibrant play of color – created by...

This exceptional natural crystal opal from Ethiopia displays an intense, almost liquid-looking play of color of rare brilliance. Luminous greens, fire red, orange and yellow tones traverse the translucent opal body and unfold in spectacular depth depending on the light incidence. The play of color appears dynamic, lively and powerful – a clear hallmark of opals of the highest quality. The opal is in its natural rough form, underscoring its originality and uniqueness. The partially preserved matrix naturally frames the crystalline opal and enhances the contrast between raw earth structure and glassy opal transparency. From every angle, new color surfaces and light reflections reveal themselves – no area is the same as another. Such crystal opals are among the most coveted pieces from Ethiopian deposits and are highly valued by discerning collectors as well as lovers of exceptional natural art. A true one-of-a-kind that blends the raw power of the earth with fascinating elegance.
