Beautifully bound and presented illustrated catalog celebrating the products and style of Cartier. Anne-Marie Clais (French). Edited by Véronique Bataille (French). New York, NY: Assouline, 2002. Bound in full red morocco with brass corner clasps, all edges gilt. Between the gold-embossed pages of this decadent and amusing volume, you'll find the wall-to-wall monogrammed carpeting, lacquered furniture, tinted glass, panther draperies and mirrors reflecting the faces of celebrities that represented the era of the 1970s and 1980s at the height of its glory. Nineteen sixty-eight, Cartier enflamed hearts and luxury markets by creating a lighter that landed with the impact of a bomb – "Les Must" de Cartier saw the light of day. Existing somewhere between tradition and modernity, Cartier's lighters, pens, watches, glasses, jewelry, leather goods and perfume engulfed the world. Protected by a panther-skin slipcase, this limited-edition volume – already a collector’s item – invites you to celebrate every new "must." Minor scratch on gilt fore edge. Product is used. Dimensions Height: 9.25 inches / 23.5 cm Width: 6.5 inches / 16.51 cm Depth: 2 inches / 5.08 cm Language English
