Murano glass - Necklace with pendant - Ape Muranese

Made entirely by hand in Murano, this small glass bee is a true sculpture in miniature, shaped by flame piece by piece. The head, glossy black glass, is illuminated by two raised eyes that give it a lively and friendly expression. The body, honey-colored amber glass, is wrapped in the classic dark stripes and crossed by soft veins that, when held to the light, remind of honey itself. On the sides open two wings in transparent yellow amber glass, applied hot. When struck by light, the wings let it glow through and project delicate golden reflections. A black bead at the end completes the body like a tiny sting. The pendant is mounted on a finely worked gold-toned hanging bail and drops from a thin chain with small links. The spring-ring closure, with extension chain, allows adjusting the length. A cheerful jewel full of character, perfect to wear every day or to give to someone who loves nature and original details. Each bee is unique: the glass hues, the pattern of the stripes, and the shape of the wings vary from piece to piece. Small bubbles and irregularities are the mark of scientific craftsmanship, not defects. Details Technique: flame-worked glass, miniature sculpture handmade. Chain length: about 44 cm, adjustable with the extension chain (princess length, falls at the base of the neck). Pendant: about 2.5 × 2 × 1.5 cm. Chain, bail and clasp: gold-colored metal. The necklace arrives in an elegant rigid jewelry box with a black velvet interior, ready for gifting. It is accompanied by a certificate of originality, certifying the handmade Murano glass craftsmanship. Fast shipping, with careful and secure packaging.
