Todas las subastas / Etnográfica / Monumentale Busto di Buddha in Bronzo (50 cm – 7 kg) –...
Impressive and scenographic monumental bust of Buddha in bronze, finely crafted using lost-wax casting with an internal cavity. The work directly draws inspiration from the classical aesthetic and iconographic canons of Javanese Buddhist art (Borobudur period / Central Java). The sculpture stands out for the intense yet serene meditative expression on the face, half-closed eyes, elongated ears, and the hair characterized by very fine spiral curls topped by the usnisha. The drapery of the mantle falls gracefully over the left shoulder. The surface is enriched by a deep green-brown patina with coppery undertones, giving an antique, visually striking effect. Thanks to its extraordinary dimensions (50 cm wide by 50 cm high) and a weight of 7 kg, this piece represents an outstanding decorative element, perfect for oriental art collections, sophisticated environments, or prestigious interior design.
