Montblanc - Single Gusset Briefcase 114840 - Shoulder bag

We present at auction a practical and versatile Montblanc briefcase, the Single Gusset Briefcase model, reference 114840, an accessory ideal for accompanying today’s professional in his daily commitments. The folder is skillfully crafted by combining a durable black technical fabric with a refined front flap and robust smooth leather detailing in a tone-on-tone finish. The functional design includes a solid top leather handle, a comfortable adjustable and removable shoulder strap adorned with interwoven Montblanc lettering, and, on the back, a convenient strap to easily attach the accessory to a trolley handle during travel. To mark the brand’s unmistakable aesthetics, the front flap houses the classic white star emblem positioned just above the metallic snap closure. The interior proves to be extremely spacious and well organized, fully lined with an elegant gray jacquard fabric personalized with the Montblanc inscription repeated throughout. The large, single main compartment is complemented by a zip pocket, slip pockets, and practical loops dedicated to writing instruments and small accessories. The condition of this item is assessed as good overall, maintaining its structural solidity and full usability for work use. However, in strict adherence to our policy of complete transparency and as clearly documented by the detailed photos, there are evident signs from prior constant use. In particular, the front brass-toned metal closure shows widespread and pronounced superficial scratches. Additionally, the leather belt loop that attaches the metal ring of the shoulder strap to the side of the bag is notably frayed, worn, and with evident surface material loss due to rubbing and weight. These signs of wear attest to the object’s history without preventing normal everyday use. The bag is offered with its original strap and accompanied by the soft dust bag (dustbag) in dark Montblanc-logoed material.
