Montblanc - Meisterstück 146 (LeGrand) - Fountain pen

We present at auction a true cornerstone of the history of luxury writing signed Montblanc: the magnificent Meisterstück 146 (LeGrand) fountain pen. This model, famous for its generous proportions and perfect balance, represents an icon of timeless elegance, ideal for those seeking excellence and comfort in a classic format of great prestige. The body and cap are masterfully crafted in traditional, precious black Montblanc resin, characterized by a deep and flawless gloss. The design is enhanced by the classic luminous gold-plated finishes (clip and rings), with the triple central band finely engraved with the brand name and the unmistakable emblem of the white six-pointed star that dominates the top of the cap. The beating heart of this extraordinary instrument is the magnificent solid gold nib with a monochrome finish (a detail that lends the piece a vintage and refined charm), finely worked with the maison’s classic motifs. The pen is equipped with the traditional and efficient piston-filling system, accompanied by the characteristic striped transparent window for convenient and immediate ink level monitoring. The preservation condition of this exemplar is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The instrument presents with a solid structure, perfectly clean, with a splendid resin polish and bright gilding. In line with our usual and rigorous policy of total transparency, only microscopic and physiological signs of handling due to extremely careful and respectful use are noted, which do not compromise in any way the extraordinary beauty or the perfect mechanical functionality of the piece.
