Monet - Gold-plated, 22 kt Brooch and - Necklace

A magnificent and luxurious pair of vintage MONET jewellery pieces, featuring a richly luminous 22 kt gold-plated necklace and a fabulous butterfly brooch. Both showcase the brand’s renowned craftsmanship, intricate detailing and timeless elegance. The necklace features a striking four-ring centrepiece, combining polished black enamel with sparkling clear crystals. The interlocking design creates a bold yet sophisticated focal point, while the elegant gold-tone mesh chain complements the pendant perfectly. Its substantial appearance and contrasting black and gold details give it a luxurious, eye-catching presence. Necklace length: 48 cm (18.9"), including a 4 cm (1.6") extender. Weight: 34 g. The centrepiece is signed MONET on the reverse. It fastens with a secure hook clasp. The necklace is in excellent condition. The spectacular butterfly brooch provides a beautiful complement to the necklace, echoing its luminous golden finish and sparkling embellishments. This large and intricately crafted piece features delicate wire openwork wings with scalloped edges, creating an elegant, almost Art Deco-inspired silhouette. At its centre, a dazzling three-dimensional starburst of sparkling Swarovski crystals adds depth and brilliance, while the textured body, tail and antennae complete the design. Its elaborate workmanship and rich gold finish give it the appearance of a precious gold jewel. Designed by Leroy Miozzi for the 1961 Spinneret Collection, the butterfly was later re-released as part of MONET’s figural Menagerie Collection. It is featured in Alice Vega’s book Monet: The Master Jewelers. Brooch measurements: approximately 4.5 × 4 × 1.5 cm (1.8" × 1.6" × 0.6"). Weight: 8 g. It fastens with a rollover safety catch and is signed MONET on the reverse. The brooch is in excellent condition.
