MOLDAVITE -METEORITE impact- (Czech Republic) 14.5 million years

Authentic Moldavite from the Czech Republic. Beautiful shape, excellent quality. Moldavites are minerals formed from the fusion of material due to the impact of a large meteorite on the Earth's surface. Moldavites are associated with the impact crater located at Nördlingen Ries (Germany), from which they were ejected until reaching the surroundings of the Moldava River, in the Czech Republic (hence their name), and have a formation age of 14.5 million years. They are increasingly scarce, particularly those of considerable size like the one offered in this lot. Each piece of moldavite is different, so each one is unique and exclusive. A sure value that appreciates in value every day. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection or to use in jewelry making. Moldavites belong to the tektite family (from Greek tektos, melted); they are natural glass objects that have formed from the impact of large meteorites on the Earth's surface. Tektites are the driest-known minerals, with an average water content of 0.005%, suggesting that tektites formed under very high temperatures and pressures (similar to those needed to form diamond). We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee for life the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made with this material.
