Moeris - Grand Prix - 1900-1949

Moeris pocket watch, with a white dial embellished by black Roman numerals, red inner hour numbers from 13 to 24 and small seconds at 6 o’clock. The case measures about 43.4 mm in diameter, excluding the crown. The inner cover features a medallic decoration and the inscriptions “Ancre – Moeris”, “Grand Prix – Berne 1914”, “Membre du Jury – Milan 1906” and “Hors Concours”, references to the maison's recognitions that add historical interest to the piece. Completes the lot a chain included in the sale, which alternates chunky link segments and elongated rectangular elements, with a clasp and a wide closing ring. The watch is winding; precision and autonomy have not been verified. The dial shows fine cracks; patina, scratches and signs of oxidation on the metal parts are also visible. The material of the case and the chain has not been ascertained. The photographs document the condition of the item and are an integral part of the description. Shipping will be handled via Catawiki’s Smart Shipping service, with Poste Italiane, Bartolini or UPS.
