Sovereign of the Seas – Large and Very Detailed Model Ship – approx. 110 cm This impressive model of the Sovereign of the Seas (circa 1637) is a true showpiece for any maritime collector. With a length of more than 110 cm and an exceptionally high level of detail, it ranks among the most exclusive models of this iconic 17th-century warship. This model is exceptional in size, quality, and detailing. A specimen of this build quality is rarely offered. The finish, ornaments, and rigging are clearly the work of an advanced builder who practices the craft very professionally. To complete this masterpiece, the builder invested 1,475 work hours, something you don’t see anymore with modern model builders. This is more than half a year of full-time work, and you can see that reflected in this museum-worthy model. Because of its size and fragility, the item must be picked up in Weert, Netherlands.
