Artist's Statement: "This work is not a simple seascape; it is a visceral immersion in color and emotion. Using high-viscosity acrylics and an aggressive impasto technique, I have sought to capture not only the image of a sailboat, but the pure sensation of movement and freedom. The painting is dominated by a bold juxtaposition of temperature. The sailboat, with its sails in golden and ochre tones, seems to consume and reflect the energy of a sky that is ardent and unnatural, painted in vibrant magentas and purples. This sky is not literal, but a reflection of the mood of the journey. The sea, in deep blues and textured with touches of purple, anchors the composition, while the relief of the rocky coast merges with the atmosphere. The extensive use of the palette knife creates a tactile, almost sculptural surface. Each stroke is a physical mark of creative energy. I have sought a balance between the recognizable representation of a great classic sailboat and a lyrical abstraction that invites the viewer to lose themselves in the whirlwind of color. It is a statement piece, designed to command attention in any space. The collector who acquires this work will not only have a painting, but a fragment of encapsulated energy."
