Meisenthal - Drinking set for 6 (7) - Crystal

Exceptional antique French crystal set by the historic Meisenthal glassworks, comprising one elegant decanter and six matching stemmed glasses. The decanter features a beautifully balanced pear-shaped body, a long slender neck and a refined teardrop-shaped stopper. Each piece is adorned with an intricate finely engraved frieze combining delicate floral garlands, ornamental scrollwork and geometric borders. The exceptionally subtle decoration appears almost lace-like across the clear crystal. The six glasses display graceful rounded bowls, slender stems and generous circular feet. Their harmonious proportions and matching engraved decoration create a beautifully unified ensemble, while the remarkable clarity of the crystal allows the delicate pattern to capture and reflect the light. The set remains in excellent antique condition, particularly remarkable considering its age.
