MEDSAN - Golden Totoro (黄金のトトロ) - UNIQUE WORK

ONLY ONE EXISTS IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan places Totoro, the great forest spirit from My Neighbor Totoro by Studio Ghibli, at the top of a moss-covered hill. He stands facing forward, eyes wide open. With one paw, he grips a flowering branch and holds above his head a wide leaf, like a parasol. At his feet wait the white Totoro and the blue Totoro, while dark-eyed creatures hide in the branches and at the foot of the hill, among green fireflies. The scene unfolds on a four-panel screen. On the left, an old leaning pine overlooks white chrysanthemums. Behind Totoro rise columns of golden rectangles and spirals. On the right, a village with thatched roofs clusters above rice fields, beneath mountains veiled in mist and the great circle of a sun. At the bottom, green and gold waves curl into their foam. A gold background and deep greens carry the whole image, like an afternoon spent waiting with him in the rain. A bright and peaceful piece, ideal for adding a touch of Japanese poetry to the interior of a collector or Ghibli enthusiast.
