The 3D objects handmade by Maxim Wakultschik are based on exact and complex calculations. The mathematically precise and accurately constructed works form a formal order from a chaos of seemingly independent and detached elements. His multilayered and complex objects are an interplay of light and shadow, creating a vivid colorfulness and a strong illusion of reality. These proactive 3D objects change, depending on the perspective, their state and invite the viewer to take ever-new viewpoints—thus, the works are perceived as kinetic objects. 1-minute film about the creation process of Maxim Wakultschik's objects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqXxyaB3cdI&t=48s Biography Maxim Wakultschik (1973) completed his studies of Fine Art at the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts with Beate Schiff and Jannis Kounellis.
