Barbie “In the Pink” opens the famous Silkstone Model Collection, an iconic line created by Robert Best in 2000 to celebrate Barbie’s return to the elegance of 1950s haute couture. This series marks a major turning point: it is the first Barbie collection in Silkstone, an exclusive material developed by Mattel to reproduce the fineness and texture of porcelain, while remaining durable. The dolls in this line, produced between 2000 and 2015, are today among the most sought-after by collectors for their refinement, artisanal craftsmanship, and world inspired by vintage fashion models. “In the Pink” represents the pinnacle of glamour: a sumptuous ball gown in pale pink taffeta and tulle, enhanced with iridescent sequins and hand-sewn crystals.
