Mini Pipistrello produced by Martinelli Luce, in the larger twin version, for 50 years and is still today an icon of Italian design. It is a table lamp characterized by the elusive shape of the conical base that rises upward, widening into the ribs of the diffuser, like the wings of a bat. The lamp is composed of the diffuser in opal methacrylate, a lamp body in metal and a base in dark brown painted metal. The light source is LED and it is possible to turn the lamp on and off via the switch on the power cord. Today the Pipistrello lamp is exhibited at MOMA NEW YORK. The lamp is shipped in its original packaging, with tracked and insured shipping.
