Gallery value: Original stencil works by Mart Signed, and not prints, are offered through European galleries with approximate quotations ranging between 3,000 and 4,000 euros, as a testimony to the positioning and collectible interest reached by the artist's work. A street wall is a passageway. Over time, anyone can leave something: an artist draws a design, someone sticks up a sticker, someone else draws a flower, writes a word, leaves a signature or simply a small mark. You don't have to be an artist to leave a trace. Different people, often strangers, intervene on the same surface. Each gesture adds to the previous one and the wall becomes a collective memory of the street, preserving the passage of people, time, and ideas. With Broken Wall, Mart Signed symbolically selects a portion of that wall, delineates it, detaches it from its original environment and turns it into a work. A fragment born to belong to the street thus changes destination: it enters a home, a collection, a gallery or a museum, while continuing to preserve its urban identity. Dimensions The dimensions may vary slightly depending on the irregular shape of the fragment and the composition of the work. Certificate The work is provided with an original Mart Signed certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist. The Broken Wall project In Broken Wall, the wall is not merely the support of the work: it becomes part of the work itself. The materials used come from the street and may therefore show traces of time, abrasions, signs of wear, surface differences, irregular edges and other characteristics inherent to the original material. These elements are not hidden or removed. The choice to preserve them stems from the desire to keep alive the link with Street Art, even when the work leaves the street and enters a private or exhibition space. Broken Wall therefore brings a fragment of the street inside a house, a gallery or a museum, without erasing its history. This is not a print or an industrial reproduction, but an original work created directly by the artist. Installation The work is delivered already prepared with a hook on the back, ready to be installed directly on the wall. It can be displayed in its original form, creating a contemporary effect that directly recalls the fragment of the urban wall. The collector can also choose to insert it later in a deep frame or shadow box, without modifying the original work. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian contemporary artist linked to Street Art and stencil. His work combines immediate images, irony, social critique and references to contemporary culture. Through stencil, spray, recovered materials and non-conventional supports, he develops works that seek a direct dialogue with those who observe them. The wall and the street are central elements of his artistic research and become, in projects like Broken Wall, a physical and narrative part of the work. Mart Signed's works have been purchased by international collectors and are part of the various artistic projects developed by the artist in recent years.
