/ Building Material Italian Etruscan Dimensions 60x65 indefinite due to broken wall effect Game, Cartoon & Manga In this series, characters from the world of video games, cartoons and manga become an integral part of the wall. They are not simply represented on the surface: they play, interact and live directly inside it, transforming the wall itself into part of the artwork and the scene. An extension of Broken Wall, where image, matter and space become one. The work can be hung as-is or as in the photo; Photos with frames are only an example of how the artist suggests displaying the work; the frame is not included in the sale. Only the artwork will be shipped. Technique: Spray stencil and mixed media on materials salvaged from the street, selected to preserve the identity and authenticity of the street art language. Technique specified in term: The paste-up (or poster art) is a street art technique in which the artist creates the work on paper in the studio and then pastes it onto a wall in the street. Dimensions: The indicated dimensions refer to the proposed specimen and should be considered approximate due to the shape and irregular perimeter of the fragment. Certificate of authenticity: Included and signed by the artist. Broken Wall Broken Wall emerges from Mart Signed’s exploration of the relationship between street art, matter and urban memory. The project brings a fragment of street language into homes, galleries and private collections, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary work of art. The wall is not only the support for the image, but becomes an essential part of the artwork. Its surface, the ruptures, the traces of time and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art is born. The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken and the urban fragment finds a new place. Materials and authenticity Materials salvaged from the street are chosen to maintain a living connection with the original language of street art. Marks, abrasions, surface variations, irregularities and natural imperfections are not defects, but elements belonging to the material’s history and the artwork’s identity. These features are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process. The work is signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and delivered ready to hang. The frame is not included, unless otherwise indicated for the specific exemplar. Instagram and participation in the project The journey of the work can continue even after purchase. Collectors can share their work on Instagram tagging @martsigned and using the hashtag #MartSigned. Works correctly tagged may be reshared by the artist through his channels, showing the different destinations reached by the pieces and creating a direct connection between artist, collector and the public. Periodically, special initiatives, raffles or small street art-themed gifts may also be organized through social networks. Participation is optional and independent of the purchase of the work. Any terms and conditions will be communicated through the artist’s official channels. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally. His works are part of private collections in numerous countries and his artistic research develops around the concept “Where Are You Street Art?”: bringing the language and matter of the street into homes, galleries, private collections and spaces traditionally distant from the urban context. Over the years Mart Signed has built international presence through collaborations and relationships with various art world entities. His research connects street art, urban memory, salvaged materials and spatial transformation. In 2023 Mart Signed also participated in a documentary dedicated to Banksy and street art culture. Shipping The artwork is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc. Each piece is carefully packaged, protected and insured, with particular attention to the most delicate parts and to the irregular shape of the support. The shipment includes complete tracking, from departure to delivery. In case of a high volume of shipments, preparation and delivery may take a few extra days. For any shipping information you can contact the artist directly via the platform. Edition and uniqueness Broken Wall comprises a limited series of 20 unique works. Each piece is made individually and no two pieces can be identical. The shape of the support, the fracture, the surface, the marks, the imperfections and the material characteristics naturally vary from one piece to another, making each piece unrepeatable. The 20 works share the same artistic concept and the same core, but each maintains its own physical and visual identity. They are therefore not 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series. Each work is identified by a specific code reported on the certificate of authenticity.
