Are you ready to make the roar that defined the history of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal yours? Auctioning this jewel means giving a musician or a collector the chance to bring home the legendary JCM800 2203 sound in a finally portable and extremely versatile format. The Marshall SC20H Studio Classic is not a simple digital replica or imitation, but a fully valve amplifier handmade in Marshall's historic UK facilities. This head houses the same furious, dynamic, and bitey circuit that dominated the '80s on stages around the world, redesigned for the modern needs of the studio and live guitarist. Thanks to the built-in power switch, you can switch from the roaring 20 Watts (with surprising headroom) to 5 Watts to saturate the EL34 tubes even at household volumes or in small clubs, without losing a gram of that compression and harmony typical of Marshall. Whether you’re after a three-dimensional, dynamic clean on which to drive your pedals or the most famous razor-edged crunch in guitar history, this head is the definitive answer. Founded in London in the early '60s by Jim Marshall (known to all as "The Father of Loud"), the company shaped rock music by collaborating with legends like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Pete Townshend. In 1981 the JCM800 line debuted (the name coming from the initials and from Jim Marshall’s car license plate). It was a watershed revolution: the introduction of Master Volume allowed guitarists to obtain aggressive, gain-rich distortions even without necessarily blowing everyone’s ears. It instantly became the backbone of the sounds of Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne), Tom Morello (RATM) and countless other six-string heroes. The Studio Classic series picks up exactly that noble DNA, shrinking it in size but not in character.
