Marlen - Il David (di Michelangelo) Edizione Limitata di...

We present the Marlen Il David Collection David is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture carved in white marble between 1501-1504 by Michelangelo and housed in the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence. Widely regarded as a world sculpture masterpiece, it is one of Italy’s emblems: the work portrays the biblical hero as he prepares to face Goliath. The cap and the body are in white celluloid with a silver band depicting David, who has always been considered in art the ideal of male beauty (as Botticelli’s Venus is considered the canon of female beauty). The silver clip recalls the shape of a chisel: it was through relentless hammering and chiseling that Michelangelo managed to preserve the elasticity of his hands up to the last days of his life.
