Märklin H0 - 37185 - Steam locomotive with towed tender S 3/6 of the Bavarian State Railways (K.Bay.Sts.B) Works number: 3602 Era I MFX decoder (address 5) The model has a 2-point front and tender signal which switches with the direction of travel Equipped with a smoke generator (Märklin 72270). Buffer length: 249 mm Heavy model with a cast-iron bonnet. Equipped with a short coupling with NEM shaft. (KKK) Digital functions: F0 Lights on/off F1 Smoke generator on/off F3 Switching/yard movement F4 Start/stop braking delay on/off The loco is virtually in new condition but has a small scratch on the boiler and 2 small blemishes on 1 dome. (see last photo) All tested, runs excellently, all lights work and all functions operate. The smoke generator smokes particularly nicely. (see photos) In complete original packaging with loco book. Gauge: Large gauge: Among connoisseurs, the Bavarian S3/6 is regarded as one of the most successful and beautiful locomotives in the world. The extraordinary, sharply tapered cab, the conical smokebox doors, and the mighty cylinder block were the characteristic construction features of this popular series. Thanks to economical coal consumption and good running characteristics, it was convincing in daily service. The two inner high‑pressure cylinders and the two outer low‑pressure cylinders work on the middle driving axle. With this four-cylinder drive, very good thermodynamic efficiency is achieved. The Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) adopted these machines as series 18.4. 19 examples were even sent to France and Belgium. The Bundesbahn retired the last locomotive of this successful series in 1960. Since 1996 S3/6 3673 has been running at the Bavarian Railway Museum in Nördlingen. source. Attention!
