Mark Catesby (After), 5 Naturalist Prints, 1771 Hand colored engravings on laid paper Comprising "The Largest Crested Heron" (Plate 10), "The Snow Bird" (Plate 36), "Black Squirrel (Southern Fox Squirrel) with Yellow Lady's Slipper" (Plate 73), "The Ground-Squirrel" (Plate 75), and "The Manchineel Tree" (Plate 95) from "The Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands". All framed. Note: "Black Squirrel" having the Strasbourg Lily watermark, associated with the 1771 edition published posthumously by Benjamin White. "Black Squirrel", "The Ground-Squirrel", and "The Largest Crested Heron" accompanied by matching text sheets affixed to versos in plastic sleeves.
