Vintage silver 800 tableware - 12 coasters Mario Agostini (307 FI) and 1 contemporaneous bottle coaster - Italy, circa 1960 Refined vintage dining set consisting of 13 pieces in 800 silver: twelve coordinating coasters and a large bottle coaster. The 12 coasters were entirely crafted in Florence by the renowned silversmith Mario Agostini (mark 307 FI), workshop registered in March 1957, and they are distinguished by the finely embossed wavy edge with scrolls. The large bottle coaster, of a slightly different shape but perfectly contemporary and harmonious in design, features a shell motif alternating with small spheres; the related silver mark is currently illegible due to time, but the piece tests as 800 silver. The objects show normal signs of time, use and the natural patina that attest to their era. Structurally sound, without significant dents. Historical Information on the Main Mark The mark 307 FI historically identifies the jewelry and silver workshop of Mario Agostini, located in Via Madonna delle Querce in Florence. Officially registered on 14/03/1957, the atelier stood out in the second half of the 20th century for the production of refined decorative accessories, upholding the prestigious tradition of the Florentine silversmithing school.
