Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Milan, Lodola has blended the visual arts with design, music, cinema and fashion, becoming a true "multimedia" artist and national-popular in the broadest sense. His works are populated by pin-ups, couples on Vespa, dancers, cars and legendary musicians. Luminous silhouettes, Perspex sculptures illuminated with neon (his famous "light boxes"), enamels and screenprints compose his vast and joyful visual universe. Lodola has participated in prestigious world exhibitions, from the Venice Biennale to the Centre Pompidou in Paris, with shows in South America and Asia. He also maintains a strong connection with the world of entertainment and light popular music: he has created iconic stage designs for the Sanremo Music Festival, for theater and for tours of artists such as Max Pezzali (883), Jovanotti and Timoria.
