Marc Lavalle (1954) - Venice

Stunning original watercolor by the French artist Marc Lavalle, dated 2006. This captivating work plunges the viewer into the mysterious and theatrical atmosphere of Venice. In the foreground, figures wearing traditional costumes (bearing the famous tricorn hat and the white mask) instantly evoke the Venice Carnival and the era of Casanova. In the background, the artist depicts, with great fluency and a palette of warm tones (ochres, golds and burgundies), the sumptuous interior of an opera, which strongly recalls the famous La Fenice theatre. Marc Lavalle's mastery of watercolor technique shines through in the play of light, the transparency of the pigments, and the fluid movement of the silhouettes. A unique work signed by the artist Marc Lavalle This work was exhibited in Nice in 2007 among a collection of works on the same theme. The artist is represented by the Michelle Champetier gallery in Cannes. Some of the works from this series are still on display there. Fast and secure shipping
