Manchurian crane Taxidermy full body mount - Grus...

MANCHURIAN CRANE (Grus japonensis) Impressive and majestic life-size specimen of the Manchurian Crane, also known as the Japanese Crane, mounted in an upright exhibition posture. The plumage is in excellent condition, displaying the typical pure white body in sharp contrast with the intense black that covers the neck, part of the face, and the long remigant feathers that fall over the tail. At the top of the head stands vividly the characteristic red crown. The long pale beak and the long dark legs are intact and positioned realistically, giving dynamism to the figure. The piece rests securely on an irregular, textured artificial naturalistic base that reproduces a dark rocky or earthy substrate. Conditions: Museum-quality taxidermy, with clean, bright plumage neatly adhering to the body. Support: Solid, rustic artificial base, proportioned to the large size of the animal.
