An elegant and highly collectible vintage table lamp designed by the prestigious French lighting manufacturer Maison Le Dauphin. Founded in Saint-Marcellin, France, Le Dauphin was renowned for blending traditional French craftsmanship with luxurious Hollywood Regency styles before closing its doors in 2009. This specific piece is the sought-after 'Morgon' model, characterized by its striking, high-gloss glazed ceramic body. The rich, dark tortoiseshell/cognac coloration of the spherical ceramic center creates a beautiful, deep visual texture under lighting. It is mounted on an architectural stepped plinth base and accented with brushed brass/gilded metal components typical of premium French Mid-Century design. The lamp comes complete with a flared black fabric shade that perfectly complements its sophisticated silhouette. In good vintage condition with a couple of surfaces markings on the body ( see last photo). Some patina on the brass adding character and charm. All modern electric plug, switch and E27 fitting.
