Magnadyne - FM32 Tube radio

Magnadyne – Vacuum tube radio, presumably model FM32 – Italy, 1950s A small radio with great charm: this Magnadyne valve set returns the atmosphere of Italian homes in the 1950s, when the radio accompanied daily life and represented a true domestic meeting point. The brown cabinet with rounded lines is enhanced by an ivory-colored frame and a wide front grille with vertical lamellae in a gold finish. The color contrast, compact proportions, and attention to detail make it an interesting collectible object and a refined complement for vintage interiors. At the bottom, there is the evocative talking scale, with frequencies and the names of the transmitting stations and cities: a detail that preserves the memory of an era in which tuning was also a small journey across Europe. The two front knobs are dedicated to power on and volume control and to tuning. The label visible on the front seems to identify the model FM32, a designation compatible with the dimensions of the specimen, to be confirmed by a possible rear plaque. Available documentation describes this model as a superheterodyne receiver with AM medium-wave reception and FM frequency modulation, powered from mains electricity (AC). Dimensions of the specimen * Height: 17 cm * Width: 27 cm * Depth: 15 cm The device shows patina and signs of time visible in the photograph, including scratches on the casing, wear to the finishes, and oxidation on the metal parts, particularly along the lower edge and on the knobs. These aspects should be considered part of the object’s conservation state. Operation has not been tested and is not guaranteed. There is no available information on previous service or restoration of the electrical system. The power cord is missing. An interesting example of post-war Italian radio production, suitable for enthusiasts of historic radios, collectors of vintage technology, and anyone seeking a distinctive decorative object. Carefully packed with appropriate protections and trackable shipping within Europe.
