Vintage c. 1901 Longines Chronograph Pocket Watch , Exceptional Hand-Engraved Case Beautiful antique Longines chronograph pocket watch, circa 1900 featuring an exceptionally ornate case with elaborate hand-executed floral and scrolling engraving. The level of detail and craftsmanship gives the case a truly remarkable, almost sculptural character. The original enamel dial is in excellent, exceptionally well-preserved condition, with beautifully decorated hands and two subsidiary registers. The chronograph is working flawlessly, and I have included a short video showing the chronograph in operation. The watch also keeps good time and is perfectly suitable for regular/everyday use. Matching numbers , on movement and case. The watch is offered exactly as found. It has not been serviced or altered by me, and the date of the last service is unknown. For this reason, I cannot guarantee its long-term performance and recommend that the buyer have it serviced if desired. A particularly beautiful and unusual example of early 20th-century watchmaking, combining a fine Longines movement with an outstanding piece of period hand-engraved casework.
