This painting presents a wide rural landscape dominated by rolling fields, hills, vegetation, and a small settlement in the distance. The scene is wrapped in a golden luminosity that transforms the terrain into a sequence of greens, yellows, ochres, and earth tones. The breadth of the composition conveys a sense of freedom and turns the contemplation of the countryside into an energetic, warm, and vibrant experience. In the foreground, abundant vegetation extends with deep greens, bright yellows, and small reddish and brown spots. These hues suggest herbs, wild plants, and patches of earth that blend together naturally. The chromatic variety makes the terrain seem alive and ever-changing, as if each part of the field received light differently. The lower band acts as a visual entrance into the interior of the landscape. The vertical forms of the vegetation contrast with the smooth curves of the plots higher up. The dark greens and earthy tones add depth, while the yellows create bright points that draw the eye and convey the feeling of a sunlit nature. In the central part appear large expanses of land delineated by curved and irregular lines. Some plots display intense yellow, while others combine light greens, cream tones, and grayish hues. This diversity allows imagining different crops, meadows, or fields at various stages of growth. The undulating arrangement of the plots follows the natural relief and avoids any sense of rigidity. One of the most notable fields occupies the center of the composition and appears as a wide golden surface. Its rounded shape and intense luminosity make it one of the main visual focal points of the work. Around it, the green and dark bands act as natural boundaries, creating a contrast that reinforces the presence of the yellow and adds depth to the landscape. Beyond the fields, a horizontal line of vegetation in muted green and grayish tones extends. This area marks the separation between the nearby plots and the distant hills. The alternation of light and dark bands creates a slow rhythm that guides the eye toward the horizon, making the territory seem to extend far beyond the visible limits. In the distance there is a small cluster of buildings partially hidden among the vegetation. The reddish-brown tones of the roofs introduce a warm architectural note amid the predominance of greens. The settlement appears discretely integrated into the landscape, as if it had grown naturally among the fields and hills. The distant elevations present soft, rounded profiles, though some take on more pronounced shapes. Their colors range from dark green to greenish-blue and earth tones, creating a succession of volumes that frame the settlement. These hills provide stability to the composition and function as a transition between the cultivated land and the expansive, luminous surface of the sky. The sky occupies the upper part of the work and is dominated by yellows, ochres, beige, and delicate greenish hues. Its warm appearance could correspond to the late afternoon hours, when the light transforms the colors of the landscape and grants the fields a nearly golden hue. The clarity of the sky is visually reflected in the plots and establishes a strong chromatic unity between the earth and the atmosphere. The composition unfolds as a succession of planes that overlap from the nearby vegetation to the horizon. This organization allows the viewer to traverse the landscape slowly, discovering new plots, lines of earth, hills, and structures. The shapes are not delineated rigidly but relate to each other through shared colors and contours that seem to continue from one zone to another. Taken together, the work offers a warm and expressive interpretation of the rural landscape, where golden fields, vegetation, hills, and the small settlement form a scene of great harmony. The intensity of the yellows conveys light and optimism, while the variety of greens evokes fertility and abundance. The painting celebrates the beauty of cultivated land and that moment when the entire landscape seems to be wrapped in the serene glow of the afternoon.
