Limonges France - Pillbox (4) - Porcelain, Brass - Decorate

Limoges France – Four porcelain boxes with floral decorations, a classical scene and gilding A refined set of four Limoges porcelain boxes with lids, varied in shape and decoration but united by the gilded finishes. Small collectible items, ideal as trinket boxes or to display on a dresser, a writing desk, or in a shop window. The two round boxes feature contrasting decorations: one on a white ground with a blue band, small flowers and gilded ornamental motifs; the other in cobalt blue, with a figurative scene of classical taste on the lid, framed by a border of gilded leaves. The two oval boxes present floral compositions: a multicolored bouquet accompanied by scrolls and gold lattice motifs, and a decoration of roses in pink and cream tones on a light background. The marks on the base read "Limoges France," with references to Atelier du Lys, Arcap Distribution and Evergreen. On some pieces the decoration is indicated as 22-carat gold; the blue box bears the inscription “rehaussé main,” referring to the manual finishing of the decoration. Dimensions: from the largest, height 4.5 cm × diameter 9 cm, to the smallest, height 2.5 × 8.5 × 5 cm. Condition: overall well preserved, with light signs of time, localized wear to the gilding and small superficial traces, visible also inside the blue box. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
