In My Head, 2018 Limited edition artistic photography. Copy 3 of 3. In My Head is part of the series The Stages of a Heartbreak and constitutes its initial work. Inspired by the Spanish expression “tener pájaros en la cabeza,” the photograph represents the first stage of falling in love: that moment when we idealize the beloved person until we see them as perfect and start to lose touch with reality. The portrait plays with the subtlety of black and white to build an ethereal and timeless atmosphere. The birds appear as symbols of overflowing thoughts, expectations, and fantasies that alter our perception during the enchantment of love. The composition, delicate yet visually striking, introduces the viewer to that emotional state in which love transforms the gaze and allows us to see only what we wish to see. The work has received the following recognitions: — Gold Medal FIAP in the Monochrome category of the Trofeu Torretes de Fotografia. — Professional Fine Art First Prize at the Monochrome Awards and the title of Fine Art Photographer of the Year 2020.
