A striking vintage cast iron post box, dating to circa 1970-1980 featuring an impressive crown finial and beautifully detailed relief decoration. The front is adorned with a dynamic horse-and-rider motif, raised “POST” lettering and ornamental borders, while the roof features a distinctive scale-like pattern. The post box is finished in a beautiful dark blue colour, giving it an elegant and authentic appearance. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example, with its original decorative details and overall finish remarkably intact. The box comes complete with one original key, and the lock is functional. The interior is also preserved in very good condition. With its combination of cast-iron construction, rich relief decoration and distinctive crown-shaped top, this is a particularly attractive piece for collectors of vintage postal objects and decorative cast iron. Dimensions: 46 × 40 × 22 cm Condition: Exceptionally good condition considering its age, with only minor signs of age and use. The item will be carefully packaged and securely shipped with Track & Trace.
