Up for auction: a prestigious, professional, and splendid single-lens reflex camera (SLR) with predominantly mechanical control—the Leica R6, produced in Germany by Leica Camera AG between the late 1980s and early 1990s. The lot presents itself in excellent overall condition, with normal and light signs of use consistent with the age and professional handling of the item, and is complete with the Leica Motor Winder R drive, the DB 2 date back, the original protective body cap, and the carrying strap. Mechanical and Electronics: The lot has been tested and is functioning. As it is a mechanical shutter on the focal plane, the unit fires regularly at all speeds.
