This meticulous artisanal process ensures long life while preventing oxidation and paint deterioration. The glossy lacquer finish, Leica’s hallmark, is renowned for its complexity and the demands it places; it gives the camera a unique and striking aesthetic. With prolonged use, the body will gradually develop a brassing effect (exposure of the underlying metal), creating a rich and beautiful patina that embodies the classic charm of a Leica that has seen use. The camera is in excellent condition and fully functional, with an impeccable finish. All components have been tested; the body is in very good condition and the shutter speeds are precise. The rangefinder operates correctly and the shutter curtains are perfectly flat and in excellent condition.
