Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8 – Macro lens for Leica R The Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8 represents one of the most refined macro lenses ever produced by Leica for the R system. Designed and built in Germany, it is valued for its extraordinary apochromatic correction, exceptional sharpness even at full aperture, and the incredibly faithful color rendition, features that have made it a reference point in both macro photography and high-level portraiture. The specimen offered is presented in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. The barrel shows a uniform finish with normal and very slight signs of use compatible with careful handling, while the focusing and aperture rings operate smoothly and precisely, offering the mechanical quality typical of Leica production. The lenses are clean and transparent, free of noticeable scratches, mould, or visible hazing in photos. The Leica R mount is in excellent condition and ensures proper coupling with the camera body. The lens is equipped with the integrated telescopic lens hood, an elegant and practical solution that reduces bulk during transport, and is supplied with the original Leica front and rear caps. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.7 meters, the Macro-Elmarit-R achieves a reproduction ratio of 1:2, extendable to 1:1 via the dedicated Leica accessory. The 100 mm focal length also allows for pleasant perspective compression and a soft, natural bokeh, making it an extremely versatile lens for portrait and detail photography as well.
