LEGO 40504 – A Minifigure Tribute (2023) – LEGO House Exclusive – Personally Signed by Designer Stuart Harris An exceptional opportunity to acquire a very special piece of LEGO history, made even more desirable by the personal signature of LEGO designer Stuart Harris. Released in 2023, A Minifigure Tribute is a magnificent LEGO House exclusive celebrating one of the most recognisable and beloved creations in the history of the Danish toy manufacturer: the iconic LEGO minifigure. Unlike conventional retail sets, this remarkable model was created specifically for LEGO House in Billund, Denmark, making it a distinctive collector’s piece with a direct connection to the birthplace of LEGO. The LEGO House exclusive collection occupies a particularly special place among dedicated LEGO enthusiasts. These releases are developed to celebrate the company’s extraordinary heritage, creativity and design philosophy, and are primarily available through the LEGO House experience in Billund. A Minifigure Tribute belongs to this prestigious series and pays homage to the legendary LEGO minifigure, first introduced in its familiar modern form in 1978. Over the decades, this small but revolutionary creation has become a global cultural icon, appearing in countless themes and representing generations of childhood memories. What makes A Minifigure Tribute particularly remarkable is its spectacular interpretation of the classic LEGO Pirate minifigure. Consisting of 1,041 pieces, the model recreates the unmistakable appearance of the legendary Captain Redbeard on an impressive display scale. With his distinctive pirate hat, eye patch, hook hand and colourful uniform, Captain Redbeard represents one of the most nostalgic characters from LEGO’s celebrated Pirates theme, originally introduced in 1989. The combination of classic LEGO Pirates nostalgia and the iconic minifigure design makes this release especially appealing to collectors who appreciate the company’s rich history. This particular example is even more special because the original box has been personally signed by LEGO designer Stuart Harris. As a prominent creative figure associated with LEGO House, Harris has played an important role in bringing the LEGO brand’s history and creativity to life. His signature adds a distinctive personal connection to this exclusive release, transforming an already desirable collector’s item into a particularly interesting piece of LEGO memorabilia. For enthusiasts who collect designer-signed LEGO sets, such examples offer something beyond the standard retail edition: a tangible connection to the people who help shape the LEGO experience. The limited distribution of LEGO House exclusives makes them particularly interesting to international collectors, especially those who have never had the opportunity to visit Billund themselves. A Minifigure Tribute combines several highly desirable elements within a single release: its exclusive LEGO House origins, the nostalgic appeal of Captain Redbeard, its celebration of the legendary LEGO minifigure and the personal signature of Stuart Harris. The set has also attracted considerable interest within the LEGO collecting community, appearing on more than 1,200 BrickLink wanted lists. The original box is in excellent overall condition, showing only minimal storage wear. The personal signature of Stuart Harris is present on the original packaging and forms an important part of the collectible nature of this particular example. The set was released in 2023 and consists of 1,041 pieces, with original building instructions included. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed impression of the box condition and the designer’s signature. For serious LEGO collectors, A Minifigure Tribute represents much more than an impressive display model.
