Le Yack - Two Glasses, One Coat - Technique mixte sur toile, Hand signed

Unique specimen. A naked room, in the late winter afternoon. The sun comes in at a long, oblique beam and cuts across the wall. A dark-haired woman in a black top and a floral skirt sits, hands joined, her gaze fixed. On the table: a kraft envelope, a bottle of whiskey, a single glass. In the chair opposite, a man's jacket remains hanging. He left without his jacket, or he will come back to fetch it. The envelope may contain the answer. Like in Raymond Carver’s short stories, nothing is said, everything is laid out on the table. Le Yack paints the moment just before the decision, when silence weighs heavier than words. A light as sharp as a blade, enormous shadows, a remarkable economy of means: a canvas of great intensity. Le Yack, emerging French Pop and street art artist.
