Laveno - Vase - Ceramic, Brass - Cachepot from the 1920s

Important and scenographic antique cachepot made by the historic Italian Ceramic Society of Laveno (S.C.I.). The vase is made of strong earthenware in the prestigious Verbanum Stone line, characterized by a vivid glossy cobalt blue glaze. It is adorned with an imposing antique ornamental mounting in gilded bronze, finely chased, with pierced edges and hanging floral garlands in perfect Neoclassical / Louis XVI style. On the base there is the original mark "VERBANUM STONE - LAVENO" with the eagle with spread wings and the form/model number impressed in the ceramic paste. Manufacture: S.C.I. - Società Ceramica Italiana (Laveno Mombello, Lake Maggiore) Line: Verbanum Stone Period: Early 20th Century (Art Nouveau / Neoclassical, circa 1910–1925) Materials: Strong glazed earthenware and mounting in gilded bronze Conditions: Good vintage condition. Normal patina of time on the gilding of the bronze and slight signs of use consistent with its age.
