Inner margin between the first work and the second work open - binding fixed. Crinkled page 201/202 Contains 2 frontispieces and a line engraving Both works are sharp religious satires that attack the Society of Jesus and the Roman Catholic Church from a Protestant perspective. With a mocking "kitchen" metaphor the author does not offer the reader real food, but a meal of bitter satiric verses and sharp critique of the alleged lust for power, hypocrisy and false doctrine of the Catholic clergy. The aim was to undermine the influence of the Jesuits in a popular and humorous fashion, by ridiculing political intrigues and religious dogmas through coarse satire. A style he also employed in his other well-known works such as Papekost and Geuse-kost To be sent by registered mail.
