LAURA BURUIANA - Banana Geisha Gondola

Banana Geisha Gondola combines the elegance of Japanese aesthetics with the playful irreverence of Pop Art. A geisha glides through an imaginary universe aboard an oversized banana inspired by Andy Warhol, turning a familiar icon into an unexpected craft. The intense Klein blue, the red sun, and the vibrant yellow compose a bold visual language where tradition, humor, and contemporary culture meet and clash. Technique: Acrylic and epoxy resin on canvas. LAURA BURUIANA AN ARTISTIC PATHWAY BETWEEN MUSIC AND PAINTING A concert cellist, teacher and painter of Romanian origin settled in France, Laura Buruiana develops an artistic journey at the crossroads of music and visual arts. PAINTING A second artistic expression Laura Buruiana’s painting explores the links between music, identity, emotion, movement and contemporary visual culture. Nourished by her experience as a musician, her painting translates rhythm, vibration and movement: the line evokes the gesture of the bow, the matter the pressure and vibration, while the composition seeks to create a form of visual rhythm. Since 2025, her work has been distinguished and selected in several international competitions and artistic projects. She notably receives the 1st Prize of Terrain and Towers from Golden Duck Gallery (New York–Vienna–Budapest, 2025), the 2nd Prize of Interconnecting Lines from Artio Gallery in New York (2026), as well as a Certificate of Merit at Premio Brera 26 in Milan (2026). In 2026, she is also selected for The Universal Genius – Tribute to Leonardo da Vinci, presented at the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci in Milan, and receives a Finalist Award at the 10th Color International Juried Art Competition of TERAVARNA.
