Latin-French Parisian Missal, printed by order of His Excellency the Archbishop. Part Two. Paris, Jean-Baptiste Coignard and Antoine Boudet, 1739. In-12, contemporary binding in olive-green morocco, mosaic ribbons of red morocco leather dotted with gold, winding around the covers to form a frame and encircling a central motif also made of red morocco leather mosaic, small gold metalwork with floral motifs standing out against the background, spine decorated lengthwise with gilded and mosaic motifs, green morocco lining adorned with a straight gilded lace border, gilded paper endpapers, gilded edges. A lovely lined and mosaic-decorated binding attributed by Michon to Antoine-Michel Padeloup (Les reliures mosaïquées du XVIIIe siècle, no. 211). Bound copy. From the Whitney Hoff Library (no. 319) with a color reproduction. Acquired by Émile Rossignol in 1959
