Lanco-Matic - Lanco-Matic - No reserve price - 12008 - Men - 1950-1959

Lanco (Langendorf Watch Co.), historic Swiss manufacturer, a 33mm vintage automatic wristwatch in exceptional condition. The movement: Lanco 17-jewel automatic caliber, Incablock, with a bumper system (rotor mass with limited travel, striking between two springs — the pre-rotor principle of the very first automatics, preceding the 360° oscillating weight that became widespread later). A mechanism characteristic of this pioneering generation of automatics, with an almost like-new appearance, clean finishes and no signs of wear. Screw-down case back (not simply clipped), an extra guarantee of protection against moisture and dust, which probably largely explains the remarkable freshness of the whole today. The dial: silver-toned, black Arabic numerals, applied triangular markers, central sweep second hand — sober and perfectly legible, with no stain or oxidation. The case: gold-plated, screw-down back engraved "Water & Shock Resistant — Stainless Steel Back — Automatic — Non Magnetic", numbered 12008. The bracelet: original leather, rare to find the original strap preserved on a piece of this age. A complete and cohesive Lanco-Matic from end to end, in a condition that clearly stands out from what is usually found on this type of caliber.
