Todas las subastas / Varios / Lamp - alabaster - Two Italian lamp bases
Elegant pair of vintage Italian alabaster lamp bases, made from warm cream- and honey-colored alabaster. Both still carry the original label “Genuine Alabaster – Hand Carved – Made in Italy.” The richly worked baluster form features classic leaf- and urn-motifs, a profiled square base, and natural veining in the alabaster. The design fits within the Italian neoclassical / Hollywood Regency tradition of the second half of the 20th century. Specifications: * Set of 2 lamp bases. * Origin: Italy. * Material: genuine alabaster. * Hand-cut. * Dating: presumably circa 1960–1980. * Height: approx. 38 cm each. * Belly circumference: approx. 25 cm. * Weight: approx. 1,600 g per piece. * E27 socket. * Cord lengths: approx. 70 cm and 200 cm. * European plugs. * Both tested and working. * Original “Genuine Alabaster – Hand Carved – Made in Italy” labels present. Important: the sale concerns only the two lamp bases. Lamp shades and incandescent bulbs/light sources are not included. Photos showing the bases with shade or decorative bulbs are intended only as ambience and presentation examples. Condition: The lamp bases are in excellent vintage condition, with normal signs of use appropriate for their age. Natural veining, color nuances, and structural differences are part of alabaster and make each piece unique. A stylish, symmetrical pair for a classic, neoclassical, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic chic interior. They are especially suitable for placement on a console, sideboard, or on either side of a bed or mirror. Shipping: carefully and securely packaged, with extra protection due to the weight and fragility of alabaster. Shipping with tracking within 3 days after payment.
