Lalique - René Lalique - Baluster vase - Crystal - Saint Cloud

A beautiful vase made of crystal glass from LALIQUE, Paris. The vase named "Saint Cloud" is made of colorless glass, partially satin-finished with a surrounding relief and clear acanthus leaf decoration. Acanthus is the archaeological-art-historical description of the type of ornament, the shape of the leaf of the plant genus of the same name, rendered in a stylized, raised form. The plant genus is known for its beautiful leaves and striking inflorescences, which played an important role in Greco-Roman antiquity (reliefs in temples, etc.). At the bottom the manufacturer's name “Cristal Lalique France” is etched.
