Labradorite ring of fine quality

Sterling silver 925 ring set with a labradorite. Adjustable size. Delivered in its jewelry box. This solid 925 sterling silver ring (punch mark visible inside the band) holds a labradorite cut in an oval cabochon, bezel-set on four claws that lift the stone and reveal all its play of light. On a nuanced gray-green background, an electric blue flash travels across the cabochon and changes intensity depending on the viewing angle — this is the famous labradorescence that gives this stone its charm. Labradorite is associated in lithotherapy with protection and intuition: it is said to be a stone of transformation, helping to reveal inner strengths while shielding against negative energies. This unique optical phenomenon comes from fine internal lamellae that diffract light, somewhat like the iridescent colors on a beetle’s wing. The finest deposits are found in Madagascar, a land where this seemingly gray stone suddenly lights up with a blue flame worthy of an aurora borealis frozen in rock.
