KPM Berlin – Sculptural Porcelain Vase – Trude Petri & Fritz Quillmann (circa 1960) Elegant and formally crafted porcelain solitaire vase from the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin (KPM), designed in the 1950s/1960s by Trude Petri and Fritz Quillmann. The vase impresses with its flat, organically curved bow-shaped form with a softly curved base. A special highlight is the two-tone division: one half in flawless KPM white, while the other side is in deep, glossy cobalt blue. The boundary line runs in a harmonious, almost sculptural curve. Identification: On the unglazed bottom with the cobalt blue sceptre mark under glaze. Complemented by the green Reichsapfel stamp with KPM. 1st quality – no grinding marks. Dimensions: Height: approx. 13.0 cm; Width: approx. 14.0 cm; Condition: Excellent, undamaged collector’s condition. The glaze is mirror-smooth, the base and the mouth show no chips, cracks or restorations.
