100% Pinot Noir Wine of Origin: Elgin Winemaker: Richard Kershaw MW The Vertiginous Pinot Noir, made from the rare Clone 52, originates from the steep, dryland slopes of central Elgin. Clone 52 is known for producing wines with a balanced profile of lightness, delicate floral notes and a distinctive tannic structure. The delestage process used for extraction enriches its depth and colour, while natural malolactic fermentation in Burgundy barrels provides a creamy, balanced finish, enhancing the ageability of this wine. Tasting Notes: The wine reveals aromas of strawberry and rosehip, which meld seamlessly with notes of spiced raspberry. An inherent richness is woven together by white pepper and balanced by a rhubarb acidity. Framed by fine tannins, a zippy energy carries through the palate to a long, taut finish. Ready for drinking 2028 to 2033.
