Exceptional and rare commemorative glazed earthenware plate from the renowned Belgian manufacturer Boch Frères La Louvière (Keramis), specially produced to celebrate the pottery's centenary on 18 March 1941. This historic piece is signed by the legendary master decorator Charles Catteau, a leading figure of European Art Deco. The central design, executed with great finesse in a blue monochrome on a creamy white background, pays a vibrant tribute to artisanal work by depicting a potter at his wheel, concentrating on shaping a vase (the perfect, elegant meta-moment of the creator celebrating his craft). The rim features stylized typography engraving the institution's key dates from 1841 to 1941. The plate is in good vintage condition, showing some honest signs of use and minor surface wear consistent with its age and eighty plus years of history. In terms of dimensions, it has a generous diameter of 29 cm, a thickness of 3 cm, and a solid weight of 900 g.
