Ancient Turkish rug Kars Kazak – Pure wool – 1940-1950 – 285 × 208 cm We present a spectacular antique Turkish rug, Kars Kazak, dated between 1940-1950, completely handmade in pure wool. It stands out for its magnificent geometric Caucasian-inspired design, with large traditional motifs and an attractive mix of red, blue, green, ivory and pinkish tones. This is a finely woven rug with a relatively flat pile, short and compact. It is not a thick or very fuzzy rug; due to its fineness and flexibility it has a feel similar to a kilim. This detail can be clearly appreciated in the photographs. Features: * Origin: Turkey – Kars * Type: Kars Kazak * Era: 1940-1950 * Measurements: 285 × 208 cm * Material: 100% pure wool * Craftsmanship: 100% handmade * Large size * Short, fine, and compact pile The rug is in very good condition considering its age, with no tears or significant stains. It retains vibrant colors and a magnificent decorative presence. Only a light cleaning is recommended to remove the dust accumulated from the time it has been stored. The photographs are part of the description and show in detail its current condition. Each of our rugs comes with a certificate of authenticity, indicating its measurements, approximate age, materials and origin.
